Χριστουγγενιάτικο δέντρο από σύρμα πίπας

Step 1: Take three chenille stems and twist them completely together.
This is the trunk of the tree. It doesn't have to be this tall, you can
clip it down later. Open up the three stems where
the top of the tree will be.

Step 2: Snip groups of chenille stems to form the branches. You can
have as many or as few branches as you'd like. Clip at least two
branches of each size to get you started.
Step 3: Starting at the top, place the middle of the small cut chenille
stem on the trunk of the tree and twist it around as tight as you can.
Repeat adding branches one under the other until you are happy with
the way it looks. You can space the branches apart too.
You can make the trees as tall or as small as you'd like but
they do get a little more wobbly the taller they get.
Pony beads are easy decorations that can be slippedright onto the branches. I chose to make a base out of polymer clay. I like that it is heavy enough to keep it from tipping over. Take a package of polymer clay and shape it into a half sphere. Use a bamboo skewer to make a hole in the top. Bake following the directions on the package. When cooled just stick the chenille stem trunk into the hole on top and you've got an adorable little tree to decorate and play with.
